Watermen Heritage Tours

For centuries, watermen have worked the creeks and rivers of tidewater Virginia, bringing the best the Chesapeake Bay region has to offer to markets nationwide. Now, through the watermen’s heritage tour program, visitors to Virginia can experience the time-honored history and traditions of our working watermen up-close and personal. Several of our local captains have created on-water tours relating to the ecology of the Bay, how seafood is harvested, our waterway history and general site seeing. Join them for a life changing experience as you get out on our rivers and creeks to explore the River Realm. Tour sizes determined by size of each Captain’s vessel.
