Big band jazz returns to the Irvington Commons with a free Labor Day weekend concert performed by the jazz ensemble of the U.S. Air Force Heritage of America Band, “Rhythm in Blue” on Friday, August 30th. The concert begins at 6:30PM on the Commons, 98 King Carter Dr. The 15-member group of enlisted professionals will perform a range of big band swing, jazz standards and contemporary music. Bring lawn chairs and picnics and set up early. Chesapeake bank will provide free hot dogs before the concert beginning at 5:30PM.
