There’s a new store in town, adding life to a corner in White Stone. Six months ago Liza Carter, a White Stone native, moved back after living in New York for several decades and has opened a new home decor and toy store named Pointe Provisions.
The store charmingly displays items for home entertaining, adventurous design, aromatherapy, kid’s play and creativity. Art, prints and well curated jewelry add to the assortment.
Carter presents items with a modern sensibility, as well as, her love of old and worn. She derives her inspiration from her family home, Muskettoe Pointe Farm, built in 1685, which also influenced the name of her store “Pointe” Provisions.
“People are curious about “Provisions” when they stop by” explains Carter, “I love the term provisions because it offers endless possibilities for future categories.’
A collector of “all things”, Carter offers product vignettes, both antique and new, to inspire the gardener, chef, home creator, and child in all of us.
Carter brought the building with her San Francisco based daughter a year and a half ago while visiting her family. “It was a totally emotional purchase because my parents had their real estate office on the opposite corner for 65 years and I loved the idea of a Carter being back on the corner of White Stone”.  “This is a project that’s in development, for now, I wanted to offer an array of products and the early response has been overwhelming.”
The store will change with the seasons and add new products to intrigue.
The holiday hours are 10 am to 5 pm Tuesday through Sunday and by appointment. The store will close December 23rd, 2019 for the holidays.
